Staghorn Fern - Plant

Staghorn ferns have an out-of-this-world appearance. The plants have two types of leaves, one of which resembles the horns of the majestic male deer.

In nature, staghorn ferns grow by attaching themselves to tree trunks or limbs. They aren’t parasitic because they draw no nutrition from the tree. Instead, they feed on decomposing plant matter, including leaves. However, staghorn ferns can thrive in pots given the right conditions which is simple!

Bright to medium indirect light

Only water sparingly when the leaves look droopy

Mist with water once a week

Fertilize in spring & summer - pro tip, use half strength balanced orchid fertilizer
